Willis and Sons has been in business for 65+ years and was started in 1956 by Russ Willis in the Fremont, Ohio area. Russ started with a single axle dump truck and a front-end loader. The company has now grown into thriving business that has spanned 3 generations. Willis and Sons was incorporated in 1975.

Russ's son Phil joined the company in 1970 and Phil's son Mike joined the company in 1987.

Phil retired in 2020 after 50 years in the business and handed the reins over to his son Mike, who currently runs the company. Our business has grown through the years and we have kept current with the ever-changing construction industry. We have also worked hard to keep our equipment updated to be competitive and efficient.

A Leader in Ethics and Respect

We have been a member of the Better Business Bureau for over 38 years, members of the Sandusky County Safety Council, and Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce. Russ started the business with an attitude of treating the customer with respect and our business ethics are still a priority today.

Phil and Mike like to treat others with a Christian attitude and have strong family and community values. We look forward to the future and helping our customers start and finish their projects.

Hard Working and Skilled

Willis and Sons Inc. is primarily a site work excavating company, but we also have a construction material recycling plant, and commercial snow/salt removal services.

We have constructed private subdivisions such as: Regatta Subdivision 2017, Phases 3,4,5,6, & 7 at Wildflower Subdivision, Sunset Meadows 2021, and Blue Heron Villas 2022. Our site work includes all underground utilities, curbs, and road base. We have also installed Sewer Treatment plants and lift stations.

We have completed several large commercial building projects such as: Crown Battery Addition 2014, Davita Dialysis 2012, Liberty Aviation Museum 2013, Signature Label 2020, and Spa Catawba in 2020. These jobs included all site prep excavations and utility installation.
